The Tourist Development Corporation Malaysia (TDC) was established August 10, 1972 as an organization under the former Department of Trade and Industry by an Act of Parliament. With the creation of the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Tourism 20 May 1987, CCT has been transferred to this new ministry, and became Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board (MTPB) through the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Act on Office 1992. Popularly known as, the focus is completely on the promotion of Malaysia and abroad.
